We are Jackie Webb and JoEllen Langwell your new Coordinators for the Johnson County Page. We have been involved in Family History for 38 years strong and hope to bring some fresh new looks to this page! Jackie's husband Robert's ggggreat grandfather Mitchell Webb was the first of the family to come to Johnson County. We have been researching Johnson County for many years now. We hope with our combined efforts to make this a site that will merge the past with the present and will be enjoyed by all who visit. We hope you stop by often and contribute much family and local history to help us build this into a great site!
Johnson county is named for Richard Mentor Johnson who served in the Indian Wars and the war of 1812. He also served as Vice-President of the United States from 1837 to 1841 in the administration of Martin Van Buren.
Johnson County is bordered by Williamson County to the north, Massac and Pulaski Counties to the south, Pope County to the east and Union County to the west.
We are just getting started and will be adding records and photos as we obtain them and if you would like to contribute or volunteer to do look-ups from resources you own please e-mail either Jackie or JoEllen.
