1925 Biography - Jasper Johnson
Jasper Johnson was a son of Peter and Sarah (Harell) Johnson, born in this county. He was a teacher in the fifties and was Postmaster in Vienna in 1861. He served in the 31st Illinois Regiment during the Civil War. He removed to Chicago after the war where he reared his family. (For family see Simpson).
