To the people of the State of Illinois. To any person legally authorized,
greeting. You are hereby authorized, licensed and permitted to join together
in the bonds of Holy Wedlock Mr. Benjamin Gaines to Miss Nancy Comstock, the
mutual consent of her parents having first been obtained. And this shall be
your sufficient Warrant for so doing. In Testimony whereof I have here unto
Set my hand and affixed the seal of office at Vienna this 1st day October A.
